Its interdisciplinary nature provides students with tools that can be applied across a spectrum of science, social behavior, and humanities, using the strengths of the various areas. Students seeking journalistic or artistic careers will gain a scientific background by which to understand environmental science, while students going into the sciences will appreciate the social, political, and ethical dimensions of environmental actions and policy decisions.</p> <br /> <h3>Degree Requirements</h3> <ul> <li>Students who entered UCF prior to the 2024-25 academic year may continue in or declare the Environmental Studies major. Students who enter UCF beginning in summer B 2024 and later or who choose the 2024-25 or later catalog may not declare the Environmental Studies major, unless covered by an articulation agreement with Broward College.</li> <li> <p>Courses taken to satisfy basic and advanced core requirements cannot be used as in the Sciences or Communication and Planning track electives.</p> </li> </ul> <br /> <br /> <p>Additional courses may be added and will appear on the myKnight audit. Students are responsible for meeting prerequisites. </p>","primary":false,"program":1155}
