Entering PhD students may request the option to receive a non-thesis Master of Science (MS) &quot;along the way&quot; degree that will be awarded after achieving candidacy. Requirements for the MS degree include successful completion of all PhD courses required for the degree. A total of 33 credit hours minimum is required.</p> <p><br />To receive the masters, students must take 18 credit hours minimum of core required courses, 12 credit hours of approved electives, and register for 3 credit hours of capstone.
