The Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) degree program is a partnership with Valencia College and the University of Florida, as part of a 2+2+2 program to enable students to complete an NAAB accredited architectural program in Central Florida. Note: Architecture (B.Des.) majors must have continual access to a computer. For the minimum hardware and software specifications, visit <a href=\"https://cah.ucf.edu/svad/program/architecture/\">Architecture (B.Des) - UCF School of Visual Arts and Design</a>.</p><h2>Admission Requirements</h2><ul> <li>Submission of a completed UCF application packet.</li> <li>Completion of the General Education Program (GEP) at UCF or equivalent.</li> <li>UCF admission files from other transfer students will be reviewed on an individual basis to determine if prerequisites and General Education Program requirements are met.</li> <li>Successful completion of PHY 2053C, or its equivalent, with a \"C\" (2.0) or better is required.</li> </ul><h3>Admission Requirements - Lower-Level Architecture courses at Valencia College</h3><ul> <li>Students who plan to take the lower-level, prerequisite ARC courses at Valencia College must successfully complete a Studio Test to gain admission to ARC 1301C. Please confirm course equivalencies prior to taking courses at another institution.</li> </ul><h3>Admission Requirements - Upper-Level B.Des courses at UCF</h3><ul> <li>To be considered for admission to the Architecture Bachelor of Design, students must participate in a competitive pin-up process. Pin up is held each spring for program start in the subsequent fall semester. Students are selected to join the program based on a composite score that includes overall GPA, architecture GPA, and pin-up score.
