{"id":345470,"description_type":{"id":3,"name":"Full Catalog Description"},"description":"  The Digital Humanities in the Age of AI minor at UCF invites students to explore cutting-edge technologies that impact our culture, including generative and agentic AI. Students will use these tools to solve humanities problems and work with code, text, and images to build humanities projects. This interdisciplinary minor combines two complementary approaches: humanistic ways of examining digital texts (from social media to video games to generative chat bots) and digital methods for analyzing humanistic texts (such as data mining language in novels, digitally archiving history, and visualizing recurring characters across cultural traditions). Students in the minor will learn to work as both scholars and makers, combining the big questions of the humanities with technological tools that include code, artificial intelligence, images, image-text, databases, and languages.
