Open to students from all majors, the program invites learners to examine what it means to lead effectively, ethically, and inclusively in a rapidly changing world.</p><p>Through a sequence of courses focused on self-awareness, communication, systems thinking, and organizational dynamics, students gain an understanding of how leadership operates across disciplines and contexts. The curriculum combines reflection with real-world application, allowing students to build confidence and competence through experiential projects and community engagement.</p><h2>Degree Requirements</h2><h3>Leadership Core </h3> 9 Total Credits <ul><li>Complete all of the following<ul><li>Complete the following: <ul><li>LDR3115 - Contemporary Issues in Leadership (3)</li><li>LDR3103 - Multi-disciplinary Perspectives in Leadership (3)</li><li>LDR4130 - Leadership Skills for the 21st Century (3)</li></ul></li><li>Both LDR 2001 AND LDR 2002 (4 credits total) may be substituted for LDR 3115.</li></ul></li></ul><h3>Leadership Elective</h3> 3 Total Credits <ul><li>Complete at least 1 of the following: <ul><li>IDS3053 - Interdisciplinary Research Methods (3)</li><li>IDS3396 - Embracing Disability (3)</li><li>IDS4249 - Environmental Stewardship (3)</li><li>WST3371 - Women and Leadership (3)</li></ul></li></ul><h3>High Impact Experience</h3> 3 Total Credits <ul><li>Complete all of the following<ul><li>Earn at least 3 credits from the following types of courses: High Impact Practice (HIP) designated courses (including SL, IE, GL, RI), career foundations, undergraduate research, internship, study abroad/away. </li><li>The High Impact Experience course(s) must be in addition to other courses used for the minor.</li></ul></li></ul><h4>Grand Total Credits: <strong>15</strong></h4><p><strong>Total Undergraduate Credit Hours Required: 15-16<br/></strong><br/><b>Other Requirements:</b></p><ul> <li>Earn a grade of \"C-\" (1.75) or better in each course used to satisfy the minor.</li> <li>All credit hours used in the minor must be earned at UCF.</li> <li>No credit by exam (TSD, Military credit) may be used.</li> <li>Students cannot complete Leadership minor and earn the Leadership major or the Leadership certificate. </li> <li>Students must declare the Leadership minor prior to filing their intent to graduate.</li> <li>Students are responsible for meeting any prerequisites.</li> </ul>","primary":false,"program":1682}
