    "description": "<p>The Theatre MA program with tracks in Musical Theatre Pedagogy (distance learning) and Theatre Studies (in person) is a dynamic program that establishes a broad base of knowledge and skills in theory, pedagogy, and practice and enables students to apply critical thinking through research and creative work. It is designed for artist-scholars who want to explore the intersections of theory and practice in theatre and educators and creative team members who wish to deepen their awareness of pedagogy and practice. Graduates of the MA are prepared to begin or continue a fulfilling career in or adjacent to the arts or arts education. Graduates of the MA Theatre program are pursuing PhD degrees, working in professional theatres as education, marketing, and artistic directors, and teaching at all levels from middle schools and universities. Please scroll to the bottom of this page for further details on these Tracks.</p> <br /> <p>The Master of Arts in Theatre program offers a rigorous course of study of 39 credit hours minimum, culminating in the writing of a scholarly thesis.
