    "description": "<p>The Graduate Certificate in Career Counseling is housed within the Counselor Education Program in the College of Community Innovation and Education. The certificate program is designed to provide advanced training to students in the Counselor Education program and for practicing counselors, therapists, student advisors and career coaches who want to provide career counseling or consultation services.</p><p>The certificate requires the completion of three graduate courses addressing foundations, theories, assessment, techniques, and applications of career counseling and development. SDS 6347 - Career Development and SDS 6622 - Career and College Readiness in Schools PK-12 are both prerequisites for the final capstone course, SDS 6308- Applied Practice in Career Services.
