    "description": "<p>The Educational Technology track is designed for educators (K-16) who want to increase their technical skills and become highly skilled at successfully integrating technology into the curriculum as well as develop leadership skills necessary for site-based technology coordinators in K-12 schools, colleges, and universities settings.</p><p>The knowledge gained through the Educational Technology program allows candidates to seek new career paths in education. Graduates from this program have the skills to become computer teachers, instructors at the community college and university level, district curriculum coordinators, and instructional designers. The program does not lead to any current certification in Florida.</p><p>The Educational Technology track in the Instructional Design and Technology MA program requires a minimum of 36 credit hours beyond the bachelor's degree. The curriculum includes 12 credit hours of instructional technology core courses, 12 credit hours of professional specialization, nine credit hours of electives, and three credit hours of practicum.</p><p>International students who are in the U.S. and maintaining a U.S. Student Visa are not eligible for this track.</p><p><strong>Total Credit Hours Required: 36 Credit Hours Minimum beyond the Bachelor's Degree</strong></p><p><strong>Please note:</strong> <a href=\"https://www.ucf.edu/online/degree/instructional-design-technology-m-a/\" target=\"_blank\">Instructional Design and Technology, Ed Tech (MA) may be completed fully online</a>, although not all elective options or program prerequisites may be offered online. Newly admitted students choosing to complete this program exclusively via UCF online classes may enroll with a reduction in campus-based fees.</p><p>International students (F or J visa) are required to enroll in a full-time course load of 9 credit hours during the fall and spring semesters. Only 3 of the 9 credit hours may be taken in a completely online format.
