    "description": "<p>The Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering is primarily intended for students with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or a closely related discipline obtained from a recognized accredited institution. The program offers Mechanical Systems, Thermofluids, Guidance Control and Dynamics, and Accelerated BS to MS tracks. Please scroll to the bottom of this page for further details on these Tracks. Each track requires 30 credit hours of courses, of which 24 credit hours must be formal course work, exclusive of thesis and research.</p> <p><strong>Total Credit Hours Required: 30 Credit Hours Minimum beyond the Bachelor's Degree</strong></p><p><strong>Please Note: </strong><a href=\"https://www.ucf.edu/online/degree/mechanical-engineering-m-s-m-e/\" target=\"_blank\">Mechanical Engineering MSME</a> may be completed fully online, although not all elective options or program prerequisites may be offered online. Newly admitted students choosing to complete this program exclusively via UCF online classes may enroll with a reduction in campus-based fees.</p> <p>International students (F or J visa) are required to enroll in a full-time course load of 9 credit hours during the fall and spring semesters. Only 3 of the 9 credit hours may be taken in a completely online format.
