    "description": "<p>Open to College of Engineering and Computer Science students and students who meet the prerequisites.</p><p>Program participants will acquire specific knowledge of FinTech to meet the growing demands for such services.</p><p>Certificates will be awarded only at the time of degree completion.</p><h2><em>Certificate Requirements</em></h2><ul> <li>A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required in all courses used to satisfy the certificate.</li> <li>Students must have already taken COP 3223C/3223H or EGN 3211 and COP3502C/3502H prior to declaring the Fintech Certificate.</li> <li>A “B” or better in FIN 3403 or FIN 3403H (Business Finance) and department consent is required to declare the Fintech Certificate.</li> <li>CECS students are eligible for admission into FIN 3403H with department approval.</li> <li>Pre-requisites are waived for FIN 3403/3403H for CECS students (in their major, not in pending).</li> <li>Prerequisites are waived for FIN 3403/3403H for CECS pending students if COP 3223/COP 3223H or EGN 3211 and COP 3502/COP 3502H are completed with a “C” or better. Please contact <a href=\"mailto:opd@ucf.edu\">opd@ucf.edu</a> for assistance.</li> </ul><h2>Degree Requirements</h2><h3>Required Courses</h3> 15 Total Credits <ul><li>Complete all of the following<ul><li>For COP 3502H, 3223H and FIN 3403H, honors sections of the respective courses will be accepted.</li><li>All classes are 3 credit hour classes.</li><li>Complete at least 1 of the following: <ul><li>COP3223C - Introduction to Programming with C (3)</li><li>EGN3211 - Engineering Analysis and Computation (3)</li></ul></li><li>Complete the following: <ul><li>COP3502C - Computer Science I (3)</li><li>FIN3403 - Business Finance (3)</li><li>FIN4450 - Foundations of FinTech (3)</li><li>FIN4451 - FinTech for Decision Makers (3)</li></ul></li></ul></li></ul><h3>Other Requirements</h3> 0 Total Credits <ul><li>Complete all of the following<ul><li>Enrollment for the FinTech Certificate is by application only.
