"description": "
The Integrated Science & Technology degree is a multi-disciplinary program intended for students who seek an academic background in preparation for a career or professional program that values a degree from a STEM related field. Working with the program director, students can customize their coursework by integrating multiple areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This is an ideal option for students who may have interest in more than one STEM-based major offered by the university, but a single degree does not meet the needs of a student's plans.

The Integrated Sciences Track provides students the opportunity to develop a STEM-significant curriculum that pulls from multiple areas of the natural, physical and mathematical sciences. Depending on the courses taken, this specialization may have a particular STEM focus area; for example, a physical sciences focus will include courses from physics and engineering. As such, this track is designed to let you develop a program tailored to your graduate school, career, or professional goals. With guidance and support from the program’s director and with the assistance of your Academic Success Coach, you can design a program that gives you an ideal academic background preparing you for multiple areas of graduate study for a science-based industry or professional career, or continuing your education with a professional credential or a law degree.

The courses you can use to complete this degree include all that are STEM-based, and you can complement your degree with one or more STEM-based minor or certificate programs. The Integrated Science Track is also a good option for students who have a foundation in the sciences but are looking for more flexibility to apply additional STEM-based courses toward degree completion.

Degree Requirements

Students who change degree programs and select this major must adopt the most current catalog.

Courses designated Common Program Prerequisites are usually completed in the first sixty hours.

Prior to enrolling in CHM2045 and any MAC course, you must take the Chemistry Placement Test and Math Placement Test ~ https://www.sdes.ucf.edu/placement-tests/

Students may not double-major with another STEM-based degree.

",
