    "description": "<p><strong>Become a Champion for K-12 Students with Disabilities</strong></p>\r\n<p><span>UCF&rsquo;s Master of Arts in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) is designed to equip you to unlock the potential of every learner &mdash; including K-12 students with disabilities. If you hold a bachelor&rsquo;s degree in another field, this program offers a direct path to the classroom. Through this state-approved initial teacher preparation program, you&rsquo;ll work toward earning your professional educator certification, along with English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Reading endorsements.&nbsp;</span><strong><span></span></strong></p>\r\n<p><span>Build a strong foundation in education through coursework that helps you manage classrooms effectively, assess and support student progress, implement evidence-based instructional strategies, and design individualized programming and behavior management plans. </span></p>\r\n<p><span>As a graduate student, you&rsquo;ll complete both a reading practicum and an internship, gaining hands-on experience in ESE settings under the supervision and direction of certified ESE teachers. Alternatively, you can apply for an on-the-job internship if you already are teaching in an approved setting.</span></p>\r\n<p><span>You&rsquo;ll learn from experienced faculty who are leaders in special education, engage in real-world learning experiences, and collaborate with peers who share your dedication to making a lasting impact on children&rsquo;s lives. Graduates of the program are prepared for roles in K-12 schools, nonprofit organizations and more.</span></p>\r\n<p><span>This program primes students for state-regulated professional licensure or certification.
