"description": "<p>The MEd in Exceptional Student Education program prepares exceptional education teachers to enhance their knowledge in programs serving Pre- K-12 students with disabilities. The program is designed for teachers already certified in exceptional student education or an area in general education.</p><p>The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Exceptional Education requires 30 credit hours beyond the bachelor's degree including a 3-credit-hour action research course, 24 credit hours of specialization courses and 3 credit hours of electives approved by an adviser.</p><p>The MEd in Exceptional Student Education program is part of the 3+1 plans. While the M.Ed. program may be taken as a stand alone graduate program, the program is also sequenced so students can complete the undergraduate Exceptional Student Education B.S. degree with some graduate coursework in 3 years and the M.Ed. in 1-year.
